Featuring a bifurcated tongue and a visceral crimson hue, the piece navigates suppressed truths and the tension between silence and voice—keeping ancestral memory alive through radical reinterpretation.
Technical Details
Hand-sculpted stoneware mask textured with hundreds of individual relief teardrops, finished with a custom-formulated, high-fired crimson glaze. The ceramic core is framed by an expansive radial halo of hand-dyed natural raffia, seamlessly bridging rigid, light-reflective ceramic with tactile, organic fiber.
