TROY

Public art installation / Urban intervention

Original concept, registered: 2015

Project statement

Troy is a site-specific public art intervention that critically addresses the socio-spatial impact of overtourism and the erosion of the social fabric in historic city centers. Grounded in the classical myth as a contemporary metaphor—a gift that seduces a city only to displace its community and dilute its identity from within—the piece introduces a monumental horse silhouette into urban squares under intense tourist pressure.

Engineered with structural lightness, the sculpture remains nearly translucent by day, blending seamlessly into everyday city life. As dusk falls, low-energy LED illumination activates its skeletal outline, transforming the square into an open forum on territorial commodification, heritage, and civic preservation.

Institutional and private partnerships

Troy is an open framework for collaborative production. We are actively seeking partnerships with municipal councils, cultural institutions, private patrons, and corporate sponsors to co-produce, fund, and install the piece in urban public spaces. To request the complete technical dossier or discuss collaboration models, please contact our studio.

Note: The displayed value is due to a technical system requirement and does not reflect the actual valuation of the artwork.
